We are thrilled to announce the launch of our pilot-funded counselling programme, designed to support women through the emotional and mental challenges of an ovarian cancer diagnosis.
We understand how overwhelming it can be to face ovarian cancer, with unexpected obstacles and difficult decisions arising throughout the journey.
This service is available to any woman with a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Eligible women can access up to three funded sessions with a clinician of their choice from our partner, TELUS Health’s network. Sessions are tailored to you and can be held in person, over the phone, or online, ensuring support is accessible no matter where you live.
“These counselling sessions provide a safe and confidential space to talk about the mental and emotional impact of ovarian cancer,” said Whitney Gernhoefer, General Manager. “Thanks to the generosity of our incredible community, we’re proud to offer this service to help women access individualised support when they need it most.”
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has donated or fundraised to make this pilot possible. We hope it will provide vital support to women navigating the challenges of ovarian cancer.
