We’re funding rehabilitation sessions

We're funding rehabilitation sessions

Treatment for ovarian cancer can be tough, both mentally and physically, and women can experience side effects and other physical changes. Specialised cancer rehabilitation can significantly improve a woman’s functional ability and quality of life – but rehabilitation is expensive, and we discovered that women with ovarian cancer trying to access support through PINC & STEEL weren’t able to, due to a lack of funding available.

We’re pleased to announce that, to help bridge the gap in funding, we’re funding two rehabilitation sessions for women living with ovarian cancer, through PINC & STEEL.

Everyone’s treatment needs are different, so PINC & STEEL’s cancer rehab physiotherapists work with women to create individualised rehab programs, including manual physiotherapy, clinical pilates, fatigue management, resistance training and/or exercise prescription, to support them through every stage of their cancer diagnosis.

Thanks to funds raised by a dedicated fundraiser, we’re proud we can help women impacted by ovarian cancer access the rehabilitation support they need, wherever they’re located in New Zealand.
